The Furniture Awards 2019 shortlist revealed

The Furniture Awards 2019 shortlist revealed

The judging panel for The Furniture Awards 2019 has selected its shortlist from a bumper crop of entries.

Developed five years ago by Furniture News magazine in partnership with the organisers of the January Furniture Show,
the 2019 awards are again sponsored by the BFM.

The awards are bestowed on the event’s champion exhibitors in recognition of the quality and commercial value of their star products.  As well as the award the winners will receive the opportunity to develop a photorealistic marketing asset with digital agency Orbital (who are also exhibiting at JFS).

This year’s judges – Ross Beveridge (Archers Sleepcentre), Matt Hesketh (AHF), Malcolm Walker (FIRST MW) and Rob Scarlett (Scarlett Furniture & Print) – selected the following entrants across The Furniture Awards’ five categories:

Living & Dining Cabinet: ALF (stand 2-D20); Fortune Woods (stand 2-D10); and Gallery Direct (stand 3-L20).

Bedroom Cabinet: Frank Olsen Furniture (stand 4-A64); Jual Furnishings (stand 4-B41); Rauch Moebelwerke (stand 4-D30); and Wiemann (stand 4-C50).

Upholstery: Alpha Designs (stand 1-E85); Alstons (stand 1-C60); Parker Knoll (stand 1-F20) and Spink & Edgar Upholstery (stands 1-F90 and 1-G90).

Accents: Hartman (stand 2-B25); MAB (stand 1-A70); and Thought Machine (stand 3-K62).

Mattresses & Divans: Sealy UK (stand 5-G80); Silentnight (stand 5-G80); and Vogue Beds (stand 5-C80).

The judges will gather at the NEC before the show opens to assess these entrants in person, before returning their verdict on the first day of the show (20th January).
