Manchester Heats Up

The mercury will finally rise as summer comes to Manchester for the 2019 Manchester Furniture Show (MFS). Bringing the city to life with the hottest new furniture and interiors collections Manchester Central - the prime city centre venue plays host to the show from Sunday 14th to Tuesday 16th July.  

Known for its relaxed feel and cheerful ambience, MFS is nevertheless all about serious business as 150 highly regarded established and new brands reveal their latest product ranges to over 5000 knowledgeable attending buyers. For the second time the show features MidPoint – the ‘show within a show’ with high-end UK and international exhibitors introducing their new ranges.

Variety is again at the core of MFS with collections aimed at every price point from volume to high-end.  From sleeping accessories to luxury motion beds, from single accent chairs to grand corner sofas and from elegant side tables to full scale dining sets MFS covers every type of interior living space. Accessories are a must-have too and there’s plenty to see with mirrors, art, lighting and decorative objects on show from long established and creative brands.

Plenty of renowned UK brands never stand still and continue to develop their collections in upholstery Alpha Designs, Buoyant, La-Z-Boy, Sherborne, Westbridge and Whitemeadow all have new models and new fabrics choices to show. In cabinet Baker Furniture, Carlton, Kesterport and Rowico are on form with stand-out new collections. Beds take centre stage with twenty-first century designs and cleverly crafted mattresses on show from Furmanac, Posture Flex and in Whitemeadow’s bed studio.   

International brands are always popular at MFS and returning and new brands have treats in store for visitors in 2019. Returning to MidPoint are Italy’s A.L.F. and Italia Living with their beautifully crafted furniture of high-design. Polish upholstery supremos Gala, Collezione, SITS and new exhibitor Kler, show their ultra-modern and smart sofas and chairs.  

In the Main Hall, Blue Bone, Derry’s and VIDA Living fly the flag for the Republic of Ireland with cabinet collections made from mixed materials, reclaimed woods and style pizazz. Our love of all things Italian continues in the Main Hall too with new exhibitor Gradi Living joining Mini Divani and New Trend to show Italian leather expertise at its best.

It’s not all furniture – mirrors, art and accessories add vibrancy and spice to what’s on show. Mirrors in every shape and size will be on show from Britannia Mirrors, DB Mirrors and Pharmore. Febland, SHH Interiors, Wilde Java and Zenith Art will present a comprehensive mix of décor from glassware to futuristic art.
